What WAS the first Rock & Roll record?
This topic always stirs up debate. We did a recording of 1951’s Rocket 88 by Jackie Brentson & his Delta Cats, and now we have our version of Rock The Joint by Jimmy Preston, an R&B bandleader that originally recorded this song in 1949.
