It’s So Easy

14 Jan 2013, by Ben Rodriguez in A SONG A DAY

When I’m down and need a lift I’ll play a Buddy Holly song–strong guitar riffs and fun to sing…and just like that I feel better! Buddy Holly & The Crickets originally recorded this tune in 1958. Buddy and his band wrote their own songs, which wasn’t so common in the 1950s, and he was much bigger in the UK than in America..bigger than Elvis.

A statue now stands in Buddy’s hometown of Lubbock Texas with Buddy holding his Fender Stratocaster guitar.

Written by Buddy Holly and Norman Petty
